Clay Helton’s career as USC’s head coach hasn’t gotten off to a great start.
Clay Helton, in his first year with the Trojans, is off to a 1-2 start and the attitude surrounding the program seems pretty dim.
If USC athletic director Pat Haden has been less insecure during his coaching search, though, the Trojans could be led by one of the sport’s best, according to Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt.
San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly “wanted” the USC job, according to Klatt. Kelly had been fired by the Philadelphia Eagles and could’ve taken the job before accepting the 49ers’ offer.
Klatt explained on The Herd why he wasn’t offered the job.
If true, that’s bad, USC. Very, very bad.
