Update: Pollack has backtracked a bit here, clarifying that his tweet was more about NIU’s Mathew Sims than Alabama’s Foster. Perhaps he needs to choose his words a little more carefully.

Earlier: Alabama placekicker Cade Foster has taken a lot of heat since missing three field goals during last week’s unbelievable Iron Bowl loss to the Auburn Tigers. But considering that almost a week has gone by, one would think that the criticism would subside. Tonight, ESPN’s David Pollack got involved. Check out this not-so-subtle shot:

This doesn’t reflect very well on Pollack, to say the least. Kudos to Foster for defending himself and to McCarron for sticking up for his teammate.
