ESPN put out its first edition of the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the football class of 2018 today. Here’s where each of Alabama’s ESPN300 2018 commits ranks.
ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the each of the ranked players joining the Alabama Crimson Tide next year. Six of Clemson’s eight players made the ESPN300:
Four-star ATH Xavier Williams (Hollywood, FL)
Rank: No. 27
Four-star RB Dameon Pierce (Bainbridge, GA)
Rank: No. 100
Four-star DE Jordan Davis (Memphis, TN)
Rank: No. 125
Alabama isn’t off to the fastest start in the 2018 recruiting cycle, but no one is going to worry much about Nick Saban’s class. The Crimson Tide sign the top recruiting class in the country virtually every year, and while Alabama only has three recruits thus far, all three are blue-chip players that appear in the new ESPN300.
Check back in in a few months, and we bet Alabama’s class, which is ranked No. 8 in the SEC and No. 38 in the nation right now per 247Sports, will be back floating around the top 10. By signing day, we’d be shocked if it wasn’t No. 1 once again.
