Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper is certainly one of the best wide receivers in the Southeastern Conference, especially after the departures of Texas A&M’s Mike Evans and LSU’s Odell Beckham Jr. But is he one of the best in the entire country? His teammate, running back Kenyan Drake, certainly thinks so. Drake, responding to a tweet from the fake Amari Cooper account (more on that here), said he agrees that the Crimson Tide wideout should be considered the best at his position in the country.

Of course, Drake is more than a little biased. Cooper’s freshman campaign (59 catches, 1,000 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns) was actually far more productive than his sophomore season (45 catches, 736 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns), though given Alabama’s run-first offense, both sets of statistics are quite impressive.
Alabama fans – should Cooper be considered one of the top wide receivers in the nation?
