Chad Morris is wasting absolutely no time in getting his recruiting efforts going at Arkansas.
Morris has not yet been formally announced as the next head coach of the Razorbacks, but it has been widely reported that he has taken the job, and that he has already informed his players at SMU.
Things are expected to be made official in the next day, but Morris is hitting the ground running with the Razorbacks.
He’s already reached out to at least one recruit, four-star Oklahoma commit JaQualyn Crawford, to extend an Arkansas scholarship offer.

As SMU head coach, Morris was the first to offer Crawford back on April 29, 2016, so there is definitely some sort of relationship here. It is very unclear whether he’ll actually consider the new offer, but it’s very notable that Morris is already laying the groundwork to build out Arkansas’s 2018 class.
The Razorbacks class currently ranks last in the SEC and No. 76 in the country. The program has nine players committed.
