Earlier: Toomer’s Corner has its new trees.
Today, Auburn is planting two new 35-foot-tall live oak trees in Samford Park. The oaks were chosen from a 9,000 tree grove in South Carolina by the Tigers last June. The trees will replace the two gigantic oaks that were removed by Auburn in 2013 after getting poisoned by Harvey Updyke, an Alabama fan.
Here are the trees, getting planted.
