Will Muschamp was introduced as Auburn’s defensive coordinator today, and during his introductory press conference, the former Florida coach said that Auburn was the only school to offer him a job.

This is a bit surprising, because Muschamp is one of the best defensive minds in the country, so you’d think that multiple schools would have tried to acquire his services. He also was linked to Texas A&M and South Carolina’s defensive coordinator jobs, but based on what Muschamp said, neither school made him a formal offer.
Muschamp will reportedly make between $1.6 and $1.8 million per year with the Tigers, which will make him the highest-paid assistant coach in America.
