Oh the irony.
The University of Florida seems to have mostly survived Hurricane Irma – so much so that Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will be good to go for the Gators’ contest against Tennessee this weekend. But there was one piece of damage that’s a bit ironic.
The sign for the field – which reads ‘Steve Spurrier – Florida Field’ – is now missing the “O” and the “D” letters.
Fans are having a field day making fun of the Gators, since during their loss to Michigan, they didn’t particularly play well on offense or defense (sans the two pick-sixes).

Perhaps the Gators will be their “O” and “D” this weekend against Tennessee. If not, they could be in for a long season.
