Jake Fruhmorgen, a starter for national champion Clemson during the 2016 season, will reportedly transfer to Florida.
Fruhmorgen, a Tampa native, chose the Gators over fellow SEC power LSU, and is set to enroll at his new school this summer, according to 247Sports.
Former Clemson offensive tackle Jake Fruhmorgen has decided to transfer to Florida over LSU. The 6-foot-6, 315-pound prospect will enroll in classes at Florida this summer.
The Tampa (Fla.) Plant product wanted to play closer to home, which helped the Gators top LSU.
Fruhmorgen was the No. 8 offensive tackle in the 2015 class, and a four-star recruit. He started eight game for Clemson in 2016, but went down with a shoulder injury in October.
He will have to sit out this season after transferring from Clemson, but will have two years of eligibility remaining going forward.
