“In a few years, we’re going to win the national championship,” a boy-faced Harvin says.
He was right. Harvin, Tebow, and the rest of Urban Meyer’s 2006 recruiting class that ranked No. 2 in the country went on to win two national titles during their time in Gainesville. The class provided Florida fans with a style of football other schools’ fans wished they could watch on a weekly basis.
Florida has struggled on the field in recent seasons under Will Muschamp, but they haven’t on the recruiting trail. The Gators have had a top 10 class, per Rivals.com, in each of the last three seasons.
