John FitzPatrick, one of the nation’s top tight end recruits, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.
FitzPatrick, an Atlanta native, is the No. 745 recruit in the class of 2018.
247Sports also has him ranked No. 34 among tight ends and No. 75 in the state of Georgia.
All three voters in the site’s crystal ball believed he would end up with Georgia, and today, they were proven correct.
He announced the commitment via Twitter.

While FitzPatrick may just be a three-star recruit, he has the offers of a blue-chip player. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Indiana, Louisville, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and many others. A number of Ivy League schools were also after him.
With the commitment, Georgia now has eight commits for the class of 2018. The class is ranked 11th in the SEC, and 51st in the country right now. I’m sure it’ll take a big jump by the time National Signing Day rolls around.
