Mark Richt hasn’t had to worry about his offensive coordinator in a while. Former Georgia coach Mike Bobo filled that role from 2007-2014, before taking the vacant Colorado State head coaching job this offseason. Instead of looking for an up-and-coming college coach to take over the UGA offense, Richt hired a fairly well-known name from the NFL ranks: St. Louis Rams’ offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.

Schottenheimer on UGA: ““I’m thrilled to be part of an elite program with such national tradition and a great staff already in place. “

Schottenheimer has been with the Rams since 2012. He was the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets from 2006-2011. Before entering the NFL ranks, Schottenheimer coached wide receivers at Syracuse and tight ends at USC.
