Thursday, Kentucky’s John Calipari was inked to a seven-year, $52.5 million contract extension by the university, becoming the SEC’s highest paid coach – including Alabama football head coach Nick Saban. Friday, it was back to business as usual for the Wildcats head man, who is getting set to run the first weekend of his annual summer Father/Son Camp in Lexington. And while the camp may be for the benefit of young players looking to improve their games, Cal is still doing a pretty good job of pushing UK’s new agenda – “Succeed and Proceed”.
In fact, the tee shirts for this year’s camp appear to read the now-famous slogan.
Thankfully for Kentucky fans, Calipari didn’t take his own advice and will stick around for a while in Lexington.
