Kentucky blew out Arkansas on Saturday night, winning 97-71 at home at Rupp Arena.
Kentucky guard Malik Monk, an Arkansas native, scored 12 points in the win. Monk’s recruitment is a sore spot for many in his home state, including, apparently, country star Justin Moore.
Moore took a jab at Monk on Twitter, and it didn’t go over well.

Moore got a lot of heat in his mentions from disappointed and angry Kentucky fans.
He has since deleted the tweets, and tried to offer this apology this morning.
All the smack talk was in good fun last night. In all sincerity, good win UK fans and best of luck the rest of the way. Love the state of KY

For what it’s worth, Kentucky won’t play Arkansas again unless it is in the SEC Tournament.
