Kentucky basketball is expected to have a big year in 2014. Between a bevy of returning talent — like Aaron and Andrew Harrison, along with the frontcourt trio of Willie Cauley-Stein, Dakari Johnson and Marcus Lee — and the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, expectations in Lexington are incredibly high. This team may even have the talent and experience to run the table and go undefeated. However, one former Wildcat believes that if undefeated talk does start, Kentucky’s players need to ignore it. James Young — who averaged 14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists last year before jumping to the NBA — said the team heard it last year, and it became a distraction.
James Young’s advice if 40-0 talk starts again: “Don’t listen to it at all. We kind of listened to it last year and it got to us.”

This could be a special year for Kentucky, as this may be one of the best teams that John Calipari has ever had in Lexington. If the team can come together and take Young’s advice to heart, maybe 40-0 isn’t out of the question.
