Jarred Vanderbilt, the No. 6 small forward in the class of 2017, will be a Kentucky Wildcat.
The 6-foot-8 five-star recruit announced his decision this afternoon, choosing Kentucky over North Carolina, Oregon, and TCU.
Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, and Texas were also involved in Vanderbilt’s recruitment, but ultimately John Calipari did what he does best: land a blue-chip player.
Vanderbilt is ranked the No. 2 recruit in the state of Texas in his class.
He joins Kentucky’s No. 1 ranked 2017 class, which also features five-stars Quade Green, Nick Richards, and P.J. Washington, as well as four-star Shai Alexander.
Another year, another ridiculous class of freshmen basketball stars heading to Kentucky.
