Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that John Calipari has cemented his status as one of the best coaches, and likely the best recruiter, in college basketball. In five seasons in Lexington, he has an NCAA Championship and three final fours, and this past season elevated a team that struggles for most of the year to find an identity to the National Championship Game.
Many believed that Calipari was destined for the NBA, but instead he has signed on to stay at Kentucky long-term. The school has announced that they have reached a seven year extension with Coach Cal.

His name will likely keep coming up for jobs, but it certainly seems like Calipari is planning to stick to his word and make Kentucky his last job.
