Is LSU basketball in line to land a major 2018 commitment?
Roselle (N.J.) Catholic five-star power forward Nazreon Reid is the No. 11 player in the 2018 class. He’s one of the best in the country.
Reid isn’t too close to making a college commitment. He just put out his top 7 last week: Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Seton Hall, and UCLA all made the cut.
Of the schools on that list, six make perfect sense. Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville and UCLA are established national powers, and Seton Hall is a local program coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
The seventh school, LSU, doesn’t seem to fit. But at least one recruiting expert thinks that is where Reid will end up. An LSU prediction turned up in Reid’s 247Sports Crystal Ball over the weekend.
LSU doesn’t have any commitments for 2018, but is in the running for several highly-rated prospects.
If new head coach Will Wade can land Reid, it will go a long way to turning things around in Baton Rouge.
