Johnny Manziel started a trend – ever heard that before? Last month, Manziel completed his Pro Day workout for NFL scouts wearing a helmet and shoulder pads – something very unorthodox for a prospect to do at the quarterback position. Today, former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger followed suit, wearing his full gear during the Tigers’ Pro Day.

While Mettenberger may be following in Manziel’s footsteps in this situation, there are some who think he could actually be chosen ahead of the former Texas A&M signal-caller in the draft. Either way, Mettenberger had successful ACL surgery back in January, so it’s great to see him moving around just a few months later.
