Jeff Withey put on an amazing performance for the Kansas Jayhawks today against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Withey finished with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocks, plus a victory that takes Kansas to the Sweet 16.
However, not everyone was impressed.
Former Missouri guard Kim English, now with the Detroit Pistons, was baffled by how the Tar Heels couldn’t slow down Withey — apparently English doesn’t hold the Kansas big man in the highest esteem:
I have no clue how Jeff Withey scores or gets O boards.. By far the easiest of all the Big men I had to guard last season.

While this criticism may seem a bit harsh, English does have a point. In a combined 31 minutes in two games last year against Missouri, Jeff Withey only managed two points and five rebounds.
