Update: The massive Steve Spurrier sign has been installed at Williams-Brice Stadium.
Earlier: Steve Spurrier’s personality is big. The South Carolina coach will have a poster of himself displayed on the side of Williams-Brice Stadium that is much larger, though.
The 69-year-old, who’s totaled a 77-39 record with the Gamecocks, is the winningest coach in program history. Today, a massive sign honoring Spurrier’s accomplishments is getting installed on the side of South Carolina’s stadium.
It’s possibly the biggest image of a college football coach we’ve ever seen.

Anyone who walks by Williams-Brice will now be watched by a 100-plus foot tall Spurrier. That’s both awesome and frightening.
South Carolina opens its season Aug. 28 against Texas A&M in Columbia.
