The preseason All-SEC teams were released last week during the conference’s media days. South Carolina was not represented very well.
The Gamecocks had no players selected to the conference’s first team, three players on the second team–running back Mike Davis, offensive linemen A.J. Cann and Corey Robinson–and one player on the third team–defensive back Brison Williams.
This confuses South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier.
Spurrier wasn’t happy Skai Moore was left off media preseason All-SEC teams: “We’ve gotta do a better job of promoting these guys.”

Spurrier pts out media picked SC to win East but only 3 guys made All-SEC teams. They have to do a better job of promoting players.

Spurrier surprised more Gamecocks weren’t preseason All-SEC “Our guys can play some ball now.”

South Carolina was picked by the media to win the SEC East, though another team in the division is presumed to possess more talent. Georgia had nine players selected to preseason All-SEC teams compared to South Carolina’s four. The two squads meet on the field Sept. 13 in Columbia.
