The 2014 college football season technically starts on Aug. 27, when Abilene Christian takes on Georgia State at 6 p.m. E.T. on ESPNU. It really begins the following evening, though, when South Carolina hosts Texas A&M in Columbia, S.C.
That contest, featuring two likely preseason top 20 teams, will be broadcast by the SEC Network, which makes its debut this fall.
Texas A&M athletics has released a hype video for the game. Check it out:
Has Steve Spurrier begun to focus on Texas A&M yet? Back in May, Spurrier was asked about the Aggies, and he responded by saying, “I am ready to turn my focus to golf.”
With the season less than two months away, it will probably soon be time for Spurrier to put his golf clubs away.
