Freshman wide receiver Jacquez Jones is out for the season after suffering an apparent knee injury.
Tuesday’s practice brought with it some unfortunate news for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Head coach Butch Jones announced to reporters after practice that freshman wide receiver Jacquez Jones suffered a knee injury and will be out for the 2017 season.

It’s not clear the specifics on the injury, but anything that keeps a player out for an entire season is obviously quite serious.
Jones was a 3-star recruit coming out of high school, and the No. 134 ranked WR in the country in the 2017 class, per 247 Sports.
Jones will likely redshirt this season and try to come back at full strength next year.
