They don’t like Lane Kiffin in Tennessee. The current Alabama offensive coordinator spent one season in Knoxville coaching the Volunteers before bolting to USC in 2010. Kiffin remains one of the most despised sports figures in the state.
Need evidence? A Knoxville Moe’s has a sign outside its restaurant making fun of the former Tennessee coach.

That’s not a photoshop. A Moe’s employee confirmed to College Spun that the sign is indeed real.
It’s something this Moe’s, located at 1800 Cumberland Ave. off Tennessee’s campus, has done before, too.
From a 2010 Los Angeles Times story about Kiffin’s departure:
There is no sense of loss but plenty of regret about the man who abruptly left the Volunteers to succeed Pete Carroll at USC. At Moe’s Southwest Grill on Cumberland Avenue, the main campus drag, the marquee says it all: “Forget Kiffin. Go Vols.
Now that Kiffin is back in the SEC, Tennessee fans will get the opportunity to truly root against him. The Volunteers take on their former coach and Alabama Oct. 25 in Knoxville.
