Texas A&M has until January 4th before its bowl game against Oklahoma. A little downtime for the players, right? Well, not for Heisman trophy winning quarterback Johnny Manziel — the freshman has been making his rounds across the Dallas sporting scence in the past month.
It all started on December 4th, when Manziel was spotted in a box suite at the Dallas Cowboys against the Philadelphia Eagles, just one week before winning his Heisman Trophy.
Next, on Wednesday, Manziel sat courtside in Houston for a basketball game between the Rockets and 76ers. He wasn’t done there, however. Manziel was seen courtside again the next day, this time in Dallas for a game between the Mavericks and the Heat, as reported by the Dallas Morning News.
During the game, TNT analyst Steve Kerr called out Johnny Manziel on television, questioning how he got the tickets.
College athletes receive a scholarship stipend, but as Darren Rovell points out, the seats Manziel is sitting in for these games are very expensive.
Courtside seat Manziel is sitting in tonight typically resells for about $400 on regular games, $600+ for games like Heat.

$600 for one basketball game, and that doesn’t even include the Rockets courtside seats or the Cowboys suite.
Johnny Football has courtside seats for Heat-Mavs. Had a suite for recent Cowboysgame. Kid makes most of A&M scholarship stipend.

To be fair though, maybe we shouldn’t jump to conclusions:
Johnny Manziel’s family is in the oil and real estate business. So, yeah … let’s not trip about him being courtside.
