Parking tickets suck — we’re pretty sure that most people agree on that one. That being said, you tend to know if you’re parking in a place that you aren’t supposed to, so you’re really just asking to receive one.
It turns out that Johnny Manziel hates parking tickets like the rest of us. Very early Sunday morning, he fired off an angry “Bull**** like tonight is why I can’t wait to leave College Station” tweet that left college football fans wondering what incident ticked him off. Today, it was reported by mysanantonio.com via an insider that Manziel’s anger stemmed from a parking ticket:
Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, had been fishing in Port Aransas on Saturday and was still on the coast when he talked over the phone to an officer, who wrote him a ticket for being parked the wrong way in front of his house and for his windows being tinted too dark (his vehicle was in College Station while he was with friends in Port Aransas), according to the insider.
It seems like a major overreaction from Manziel if this was indeed the issue, considering university parking tickets are only $20 (and he can afford to frequently attend NBA Finals games). But Aggies fans have to be pleased that it wasn’t a more serious problem that upset the star quarterback.
Either way, it seems like much ado about nothing. Moving along…
