Before the NFL Draft took place, rumors were running rampant about which teams were interested in quarterback Johnny Manziel’s services. It appears that two weeks after the event has taken place, nothing has changed. Today, ESPN First Take personality Skip Bayless tweeted that if Manziel had not gone to the Cleveland Browns in the No. 22 slot, the Kansas City Chiefs were primed to select the former Aggie.
I’m told KC would’ve taken Manziel w/ next pick. Wish he hadn’t texted Browns QB coach. He’d have been much better off w/ Andy Reid.

Of course, we have no way of knowing if this actually would have happened – it’s all hypothetical. But Bayless seems to believe that had Manziel gone to Kansas City, he’d have had a much better shot at a solid pro career than he does in Cleveland. Whether or not that’s true, only time will tell.
