In what surely seems like a euphemistic way of putting things, Texas A&M has announced that offensive coordinator Jake Spavital is leaving, describing the move as the two parties “mutually deciding to part ways.”

The 30-year-old Spavital has been the Aggies’ offensive coordinator the past two seasons and has come under intense scrutiny from fans for his play calling.
Whoever takes Spavital’s place in College Station will have an unsettled quarterback situation to work with, as the Aggies had two scholarship signal callers transfer last month in Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray.
