ESPN put out its first edition of the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the football class of 2018 today. Here’s where each of Texas A&M’s ESPN300 2018 commits ranks.
ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the each of the ranked players joining the Texas A&M Aggies next year. Four of Texas A&M’s six players made the ESPN300:
Four-star ATH Jordan Moore (Yoakum, TX)
Rank: No. 126
Four-star OT Colten Blanton (Cypress, TX)
Rank: No. 195
Four-star OG Luke Matthews (Missouri City, TX)
Rank: No. 249
Four-star QB Cade Fortin (Suwanee, GA)
Rank: No. 266
Four of Texas A&M’s six recruits are in the ESPN300, which isn’t bad compared to other big name programs. Still, the Aggies’ 2018 class is a little sparse. Per 247 Sports, Texas A&M has the No. 16 ranked recruiting class for 2018 in the nation, and the No. 3 class in the SEC. LSU and Auburn both sit ahead of Texas A&M in terms of SEC schools, at No. 4 and No. 15 respectively. There’s still plenty of time in the 2018 recruiting cycle, however, for Texas A&M to close the gap.
