Oklahoma President Reportedly Supports Cincinnati's Push To Join The Big 12

The Big 12 Conference is looking to add a couple schools to its league. Could Cincinnati be one of them?

It looks like it.

According to an email discovered by the Cincinnati Enquirer, Oklahoma President David Boren supports the Bearcats' possible move to the Big 12. Boren sent the following to Cincinnati President Santa Ono.

“You are truly an outstanding leader and knowing that you are at the helm in Cincinnati makes me even more inclined to support your cause,” said Boren, a former Oklahoma governor and U.S. senator.

Cincinnati, currently a member of the American Athletic Conference, would really like to join the Big 12. Other teams - BYU and Connecticut, most notably - are also reportedly interested in joining the league. So, the Bearcats have some competition.

Having the support of the Sooners' president should go a long way, though.
