Photo: Western Michigan To Wear Cincinnati's Logo On Its Helmets To Honor Ben Flick
Awesome gesture.
This past weekend, Cincinnati Bearcats players and fans got some terrible news - offensive lineman Ben Flick was killed in an automobile accident late Saturday night in Hanover Township, Ohio. Two of his teammates - Javon Barr and Mark Harrison - were also injured in the crash.
This Saturday, Western Michigan, a school that offered Flickback in 2012, will honor the Bearcats program by wearing Cincinnati's logo on its helmets when it plays Kent State. Cincinnati President Santa J. Ono tweeted out a photo:
Ono sums up our feelings in one word - "Classy". It's great to see programs support one another in times of tragedy.
