Report: Xavier-Cincinnati Moving Back To On-Campus Arenas After Having Neutral Site Bouts Following 2011 Brawl

One of college basketball's most heated--and potentially under-appreciated--rivalries will once again be played at the school's campus arenas. The Cincinnati-Xavier bout is moving away from a neutral site and starting in 2015 will occur at team's home locations.

The past two contests between the two programs occurred at off-campus arenas, with the 2014 game being played at U.S. Bank Arena in downtown Cincinnati. The game was moved to a neutral location following the 2011 brawl between the two teams at Cintas Center, Xavier's home arena.

At the time of that decision, officials agreed that after two years, the setup would be reevaluated. The decision to move the game back to on-campus arenas was announced today. This upcoming season's game will be played at Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena Feb. 18, 2015.
