David Williams will transfer to UConn upon his graduation from South Carolina, after three years playing running back for the Gamecocks.
In three years at South Carolina, Williams has 794 yards and five touchdowns, rushing for between 239 and 299 yards during each of his seasons with the ‘Cocks. Tonight, he announced where he’ll finish his collegiate career.

Williams should add some nice depth to the Huskies backfield in year one of Randy Edsall’s second go-around with the program. He is a Northeast native, coming from Philadelphia. As a high school recruit at Imhotep Institute, Williams was a four-star player, and the No. 8 all-purpose back in the class of 2013.
UConn football was 3-9 this past season.
