UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley is known for his in-game intensity. No one is immune from it at times, be it his players, officials, opposing coaches or even opposing fans.
Hurley has had his share of interactions with referees this season, but today he appeared to get into it briefly with a Memphis fan. The video of the exchange can be found below.

The second angle is more revealing, and it is pretty wild. It looks like as his team is gathering on the court for a timeout, Hurley is on the opposite sideline saying something to a member of the crowd.
He then makes his way back to his bench area, where an official meets him.

Hurley’s UConn team fell to Memphis 78-71 on the road today to drop to 13-11 in his first season in Storrs. Hurley is known for turning programs around, so he should have the Huskies up-and-running again soon, but this year is a definite adjustment period.
Hopefully we get a post-game explanation from Hurley about what happened with him and the home fan.
