Photos: Houston Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of Andre Ware's Heisman With Special 11-Yard Marker At TDECU Stadium

Houston football has a lot to celebrate, with the opening of new TDECU Stadium. This season is also the 25th anniversary of Cougars great Andre Ware's 1989 Heisman trophy, and the program is hosting Ware for a special ceremony. His No. 11 is being honored on the field with a special marking at the 11-yard line in the southeast corner of John O'Quinn Field.

Ware threw for 4,699 yards and 44 touchdowns to win the 1989 Heisman Trophy. Houston opens its season hosting Texas-San Antonio on August 29.
