A 4-Star Recruit Made A Surprising Commitment On Saturday
Memphis football has had a recent string of success. Still, few people expect the Tigers to land four-star recruits.
Memphis has signed just two four-stars in the last five classes. They already have two committed for 2019.
The second four-star, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Eric Gregory, announced his commitment to the Tigers yesterday.
Needless to say, he is a big get for head coach Mike Norvell and company.
Gregory joins fellow four-star Keveon Mullins in Memphis' class. He picked the Tigers over a number of SEC offers.
Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee all offered Gregory.
Gregory is the No. 17 weak-side defensive end in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
He is also the 235th-ranked player in the 2019 cycle.
