Memphis’ insane recruiting hot streak continued this afternoon. Precious Achiuwa is going to be a Tiger.
Achiuwa became the second five-star to commit to Memphis in the 2019 class, joining No. 1 ranked player James Wiseman. In the last week, the Tigers have landed Achiuwa, four-star guards Boogie Ellis and Lester Quinones and impact transfer Rayjon Tucker.
Penny Hardaway will also welcome four-stars DJ Jeffries, Damion Baugh and Malcolm Dandridge to campus this fall. Memphis’ 2019 haul is absolutely absurd.
In fact, with Achiuwa in the fold, the Tigers now have the No. 1 ranked class in the country, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Achiuwa, who starred for Montverde (Fla.) Academy, chose the Tigers over UNC, Kansas, UConn and others. He announced his decision via video with ESPN.
