In 2018, Michigan boasted one of the best defenses in the entire country thanks in part to defensive coordinator Don Brown. Now, it looks as though Brown’s could be on the verge of landing a head coaching job.
According to Philly.com’s Marc Narducci, Brown is being interviewed for the Temple Owls head coaching job – along with “8-10 other candidates.”
The news comes on the heels of a report that Texas A&M DC Mike Elko – a Temple target – would be returning to the Aggies next year.

Brown has previous head coaching experience, having coached Plymouth State, Northeastern, and UMass. He recorded a 95-45 record as a head coach at those three stops.
In 2006, Brown led UMass to the 1-AA (now FCS) national championship game, where they lost to Appalachian State.
Brown took over the Michigan DC position in 2016, following the departure of D.J. Durkin. Prior to being hired by Jim Harbaugh, Brown served as DC of Boston College from 2013 to 2015.
Last year, Brown reportedly turned down an offer to take over as Mississippi State’s DC.
