Story: In the biggest game to date for the Owls this season, they came out ready to play against conference leader Charlotte (17-5 5-3).
They shot 53 percent from the field and knocked down seven threes to improve their home record to 10-1. The Owls have been a force at home, even though their crowds have been dismal. The game was close throughout as both teams were shooting well and hitting their free throws.
The Owls led by eight points with a little over a minute to play, but they allowed Charlotte to knock down a few threes to make it a little closer then it should have been. Khalif Wyatt, Temple's senior guard, put in 25 points and led the Owls in scoring for the 10th time this season. Jake O'Brien stepped up huge for Temple off the Bench with his season high 22 points. Temple now travels to Dayton on Saturday, who just beat St. Joe's tonight. The Owls will look to go above .500 in conference play for the first time this season.
This Also Happened... Another weak crowd at the Liacouras Center, Temple's biggest game of season and only 4,000 of the 10,000 seats were full tonight.
