Story: In a pivotal Atlantic 10 matchup with both teams on the NCAA Tournament bubble, Temple pulled out a one point victory on the road. Led by their senior guard, Khalif Wyatt, the Owls were able to overcome a six point halftime deficit to get their sixth conference win of the season.

The Minutemen were led by their senior point guard Chaz Williams, who tore up the Owls defense in rout to a near triple double. UMass (16-8, 6-5) got within 83-82 with 1:08 remaining on Freddie Riley's 3-pointer but couldn't get a shot off on its final possession. Temple has played nothing but one-point games in the month of February, winning previously over Charlotte and Dayton and losing to Saint Joseph's and Duquesne. It's the longest such streak by any team since at least the start of the 1996-97 season. The Owls next play La Salle at home on Thursday in another must-win game to keep their slim tournament hopes alive.
