Story: The Jayhawks came in as the 6th ranked team in the country, with a perfect 8-0 record at home where they have now won an incredible 63 straight games at Fog Allen Arena. Temple marched into Jayhawk nation as a big underdog, but Kansas knew it could not take the Owls lightly. Temple recently defeated a highly ranked Syracuse team at Madison Square Garden.

Temple led 57-54 with three minutes to play, but Kansas went on a 15-5 run to end the game. Travis Releford provided the final dagger, hitting a huge three pointer with 30 seconds remaining.

Temple, led by its senior guard Khalif Wyatt, played hard all afternoon as the Owls went blow for blow with one of the toughest teams on their home court. Most coaches do not believe in moral victories, but Fran Dunphy has a lot to be proud of with his team. The Owls next play Thursday against Xavier.
