Tulane football has unveiled a number of different uniform options in the last few years, many featuring the school's "Angry Wave" logo. None are quite as bold as the newest Green Wave helmet.
Tulane hosts Memphis football on Friday night for an AAC match-up. The helmet for the game was unveiled today, and is making its way around the college football internet.
The Angry Wave logo takes up basically all of the new Tulane football helmet.
The reveal was done with a video from Tulane football.
The team will be wearing black jerseys and pants with the bold green and blue helmet.
Tulane blog Fear the Wave grabbed a screenshot of the helmet, showing the Angry Wave in all of its glory.
Tulane is 1-3, but has had a pretty tough schedule to start. The team beat Nicholls State, the team that knocked off Kansas earlier in the year, 42-17. It fell by one score to Wake Forest in overtime and UAB in Week 3.
Last week, the Green Wave traveled to Ohio State, and served as the first opponent for Urban Meyer. The Buckeyes won 49-6.
Memphis has been one of the top teams in the AAC over the last few years, and are off to a 3-1 start. The Tigers have double-digit wins over Mercer, Georgia State, South Alabama, and a one-point loss to Navy.
