According to the Orlando Sentinel, quarterbacks coach Danny Barrett will be named interim head coach. This is O'Leary's second resignation from a UCF post this month, as he had earlier stepped down as the school's interim athletics director. O'Leary finishes with an 81-68 record at UCF, which includes seven bowl berths, including a Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor following the 2013 season. O'Leary had previously served as head coach at Georgia Tech, and finishes with a 133-101 career record.
O'Leary travels to Cincinnati next weekend.
