This time of the year in college hoops is usually when players in the NCAA transfer portal choose their next destination. While former UCF guard Terrell Allen flew under the radar this past season, he did draw headlines with his recent commitment.

Allen will take his talents from UCF to Georgetown to finish his collegiate career. He finished last season for the Knights with 6.7 points and 4.3 assists per contest.

Georgetown missed the NCAA Tournament by a narrow margin, but the addition of Allen will help. The backcourt has talent that features two freshmen in Mac McClung and James Akinjo.

On the flip side, UCF is coming off an impressive season that was highlighted by a near-upset over Duke.

Allen announced his next chapter with the Hoyas on Twitter.

"As I prepare to graduate from this great university and begin the next chapter of my academic and athletic career, I would like to announce that I will be coming home to play my final year of eligibility as a graduate student at. Georgetown University," Allen said.

He'll be immediately eligible to play because he is a graduate transfer.

Next season will be quite different for UCF, as it loses Allen, Aubrey Dawkins and Tacko Fall.
