Video: Boston College Football Presents Game Ball To The Parents Of Welles Crowther After The Eagles Beat USC

Saturday night was an emotional night for Boston College football. Not only was it emotional because the team upset No. 9 USC at home, 37-31, but also because the team wore special gear to honor former BC lacrosse player Welles Crowther. Even if you don't know Crowther by name, odds are you've heard his story, as he is the "Man in the Red Bandana," and was responsible for saving at least a dozen lives before passing away on Sept. 11, 2001.

After the game, BC head coach Steve Addazio gave a speech to his team, and at the end, presented the game ball to Crowther's parents, who then addressed the locker room. We guarantee it will make you smile, and you can check it out below.

Hearing Crowther's father talk about his son's football career was great, and it was awesome to see how much this meant to everyone in the room. The Eagles will take the field again on Sept. 20, when the team hosts Maine.
