Aamir Simms, a four-star small forward out of Dyke (Va.) Blue Ridge School, dropped his top six schools on Twitter this morning.
Aamir Simms is considering Clemson, Iowa State, Miami, Notre Dame, Pitt and VCU.
Simms is the No. 7 player in Virginia and the 31st-rated small forward in the 2017 class according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Pitt is the only school to receive a prediction in Simms' 247Sports Crystal Ball. In a recent interview with PittsburghSportsNow.com, Simms talked about the Panthers as well as his criteria for choosing a program.
“I have a top six schools I’ll be posting in the next few days. Pitt is definitely in the mix. I simply haven’t decided if they will get an official or unofficial visit,” he said. “Academics are important to me. Coming from Blue Ridge, I know what it means to be a student before an athlete. The style of play at a school will be important to me as well. The area and environment of the school will factor in as well.”
At this time, there is no indication as to when Simms will announce his decision.
