Ever since Dabo Swinney took over at Clemson, the football program has found success when it comes to recruiting wide receivers. That trend won't be going away anytime soon, as the Tigers are in the mix to land four-star recruit Beaux Collins.

Collins is the No. 6 recruit from California, per 247Sports. He holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan and Notre Dame among others.

Dabo Swinney held his high school camp this week, and Collins was one of the participants at wideout. Following his performance at the camp, the Tigers offered him a scholarship.

While Collins does have the chance to play for several elite programs, only two are high on his radar: Clemson and Ohio State.

From TigerNet:

“It was a pretty special moment for me. One of the biggest moments of my life so far, just being able to get the offer from Coach Swinney and Coach Scott in Death Valley, that was pretty big,” Collins said. “First, they walked up to me and Coach Swinney told me how the National Championship is going to be in California in 2023 and he was just saying how they loved me as a person more than a player first. He then said that they wanted to offer me a scholarship. That was pretty big to me.”

“To me, the Clemson offer is a kind of validation that I am one of the top recruits in the nation,” Collins said. “But I know I still have a lot of work to do. Clemson right now is top two for me, along with Ohio State.”

Collins is teammates with five-star Clemson commit DJ Uiagalelei at St. John Bosco. Perhaps that could play a role in his commitment.
