FiveThirtyEight analyzed every upcoming bowl game, and ranked the best match-ups of this bowl season.
Grading games by three criteria—quality of the two teams involved, how competitive the game projects to be, and how much offense the game should feature—writer Neil Payne created a 15 point scale by which to judge the 40 bowls.
If there’s one game to skip this bowl season, according to the scale it is probably the Heart of Dallas Bowl between Army and North Texas, which only receives 5.8 of the 15 possible points, with a 1.2 out of 5 for quality of teams.
