The last few weeks of college football have brought us plenty of massive upsets that have reshaped the national title picture. Georgia, Wisconsin and Oklahoma have gone from early contenders to on the outside looking in.

But there are a few teams that have weathered the storm of potential upsets and surged to the top of the College Football Playoff contender list.

According to BetOnline via Odds Shark, there are four clear favorites to make the College Football Playoff: Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and LSU. All four of those teams were given -200 odds or better.

Just missing the cut are Oklahoma and Georgia, who were given +250 and +270 odds respectively.

Clemson has perhaps the easiest remaining schedule, with Wofford, NC State, Wake Forest and South Carolina all coming up next month. An undefeated record (likely) and an ACC title (perhaps even more likely) would all but assure them a return to the College Football Playoff to defend their title.

Ohio State is still undefeated but has two tough games - Penn State and Michigan - to close out the season.

Alabama and LSU are both undefeated but will face off on November 9 in what may be an SEC title game qualifier. But even the loser of this game has a chance to make the CFP, much like Alabama did as an 11-1 team in the 2017 season.

Both teams will be favored in their remaining games.
